The Rochemorin vineyard is located at an altitude of 56 meters, the highest point in the municipality of Martillac, on one of the highest gravel rises in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Here, one discovers a magnificent terroir exposed to the full southern sun, producing top-tier cuvées. But beneath its ultramodern appearance, the estate hides a very ancient winemaking history. In the 18th century, it belonged to Charles Louis de Secondat, Baron de Montesquieu, the famous philosopher and the very first ambassador of Rochemorin wines. Acquired in 1973 by André Lurton, Château de Rochemorin and its iconic tower bear witness to the avant-garde spirit cherished by the André Lurton family.
