Château Couhins

Cru Classé de Graves

“Chateau Couhins is a Grand Cru Classé from Graves, located in Villenave d’Ornon, near Bordeaux. Thanks to INRAE, the owner of this beautiful estate, the château has implemented research programs and innovative techniques to achieve a dual and ambitious goal: the quality of the wines produced by Château Couhins and the preservation of the environment. To this end, the estate has decided to convert to organic farming, as well as develop agroecology and agroforestry to restore balance and a virtuous cycle within its vineyard. Château Couhins thus values scientific excellence in the service of prestigious wine and sustainable viticulture, driving its development and reputation. The white wine from Couhins is characterized by its delicate bouquet of spring flowers and white-fleshed fruits, its fullness, liveliness, and persistence on the palate, strongly influenced by the Sauvignon grape. The red wine comes from a gravelly rise typical of its appellation. With soft tannins, refined aromas of cedar and raspberry, great finesse both on the nose and palate, and a harmonious aromatic complexity, it wonderfully embodies the elegance of great Graves wines.”
