Château De France

The vineyard of Château de France extends over one of the highest hillsides of the Léognan terrace, the highest of the four gravel terraces created over time by the Garonne River during its floods. A geological feature that presents itself in Léognan in the form of fine and very deep gravel. Château de France benefits from a favorable exposure, ample sunlight, and an exceptional terroir. Since acquiring Château de France in 1971, the Thomassin family has made continuous investments in both the vineyard, which has been entirely reconstituted, and the winery and cellars, with a singular goal: to craft a very great wine. Arnaud Thomassin, who joined in 1994, currently manages the estate. The wines are sold in France and around the world, reflecting the recognition of their quality and the work accomplished over the past 50 years. The grand vin Château de France and the second wine Château Coquillas are produced in both red and white.
