Château Haut Nouchet

Property of illustrious Bordeaux families over the past centuries, Château Haut-Nouchet was acquired by the Briest family in September 2008. Upon their arrival, the Briest family instilled a new dynamic to reveal the richness of this high-quality terroir, located on around thirty hectares south of the commune of Martillac. The two gravelly ridges on a clay-limestone matrix that make up its terroir benefit from remarkable natural drainage provided by the Nouchet, a small stream running through the property from end to end. This charming estate enjoys a protected natural environment: woods, meadows, and a stream contribute to the preservation of its biodiversity. Its agricultural practices, established as early as 1992 (including traditional soil tilling instead of herbicides and the use of natural pheromones), make it a pioneer in sustainable viticulture that respects its soil and fruit.
