Overlooking the village of Martillac, Château Mirebeau is a charming estate covering five hectares. It valiantly withstands the onslaught of urbanization, offering a green oasis to the surrounding developments with its century-old hedgerow and flower-covered embankment, which serve as true green corridors for the wildlife and natural auxiliary flora of our vineyards. With its vineyard encircling the 17th-century building, its bicentennial trees, and its stunning view of the Garonne Valley, it had already captivated the granddaughter of Alexandre Dumas around the 1920s. The red vine was planted on the highest part of the hillside overlooking the village of Martillac to benefit from the best sunlight and natural drainage due to the layer of gravel at the surface. The plot of white vines, situated on a highly qualitative terroir of white marl, was saved from urbanization in 2004 (it was supposed to be the third phase of the Heliotropes subdivision, hence the name of the bottle!). Furthermore, this small plot of land intended for viticulture was already part of the Mirebeau estate in the 1950s but was lost through various inheritance divisions.
