Clos Marsalette

The vineyards of Clos Marsalette are situated on magnificent gravelly rises, formed by alluvial deposits left by the Garonne River millions of years ago. The subsoil, which is highly diverse, consists of marine sediments from the Miocene and Pliocene epochs, as well as faluns (calcareous sands with varying levels of clay), tawny sands, and variegated clays. Covering an area of 12.30 hectares of red vines and an additional 1.30 hectares of white vines, this complex terroir fully expresses the identity of a Pessac-Léognan. With finesse and freshness, Clos Marsalette Blanc combines harmony and complexity, while Clos Marsalette Rouge, fruity and balanced, is characterized by its roundness and elegance.
