Domaine de Merlet

Located in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, Domaine de Merlet is planted on light, well-draining gravel soils. Destroyed at the end of the 18th century by phylloxera, the vineyard was reborn from its ashes in 1989 thanks to the determination of three young members of the Tauzin family who inherited it. The estate now spans four hectares of vineyards, with 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot Noir. The harvest is done manually. The vinifications take place in stainless steel tanks under the supervision of one of the brothers, who is an oenologist, and the maceration lasts about 21 days.
